Channelify uses YouTube Data API v3 for showing the content inside the app and hence it is necessary for the app to follow all the YouTube Data API guidelines. While developing Channelify, we've made sure that it follows all the YouTube Data API Guidelines.
However, if you customize the app, certain changes may violate the guidelines. We are listing a few key points to keep in mind to avoid the possible violation of the YouTube Data API guidelines.
- It is mandatory for the app to have Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. The app already contains the screen which shows both the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. You can find it by clicking on the Info icon in the About section of the app. It is recommended that you generate your own Terms of Service and Privacy Policy and replace the URLs by following this step. You can use this website to generate Terms of Service and Privacy Policy if you want.
- In the Terms of Service page, it is mandatory to mention that by using this app the users also agree to bound by YouTube's Terms of Service and also provide a link to the YouTube's Terms of Service. You can view Channelify's Terms of Service for reference.
- In the Privacy Policy page, it is mandatory to mention that by using this app the users also agree to Google's Privacy Policy and also provide a link to the Google's Privacy Policy. You can view Channelify's Privacy Policy for reference.
- Before publishing the app to the Google Play Store, make sure that the YouTube Channel you show in the app is owned by you. Google Play Store can reject the app if you show someone else's channel inside the app.
- Avoid using the term YouTube or YT in the Title and Short Description of the Google Play listing.
